What a result! Isabella and her band, The Southwest Angels, competed in the Rock Band: Secondary section at the Sydney Catholic Schools Eisteddfod 2026 — and came away with a trophy and a glowing adjudicator’s report.
Adjudicator Charlie Meadows had this to say about their performance:
Good establishment of time in the guitar intro. Good balance between guitars. Good dynamics between verse and chorus. Strong vocal delivery. Excellent band chemistry and communication.
Getting up on stage with a full band is a completely different challenge to singing in the studio — you have to hold your own vocally while locking in with everyone around you. Isabella did exactly that, and “strong vocal delivery” from an adjudicator is high praise indeed.
